WPC – Rule of thirds

This weeks Daily Post weekly photographic challenge is entitled ‘Rule of thirds’. For those who do not know what the rule of thirds is, it is one of the most common composition techniques and is something that I use as a composition template quite often.

My wife has a habit of moving furniture around along with vases and other bits of decoration. I noticed the below small table positioned next to our corridor entrance which had lovely side light. Therefore I thought it was well worth an exposure. I positioned the table on the right third of the frame as the main focus, with the lighting and the door on the left giving the image balance.
